“Young girls dash in with new ballet
shoes, eager to dance in their pink tights & black leotards. Hair pulled
tightly to the back of the head sets off their facial features and slope of
neckline. These are budding ballerinas. They want so much to quickly pirouette
and grand jete onto the stage of dance. Classical ballet they find is a process…through
serious study and dedicated development, they feel their body begin to flow
with movement they only dreamed of before.
Ballet calms the energy
of muscles and directs the discipline to build the most marvelous expression,
we so enjoy in a fine dancer.”
“I thank you for teaching my daughters ballet. I was so excited to watch as they practiced. I love the peaceful environment that you have created with music, the beginning stretches, everything! I loved seeing the individual attention you give the girls while maintaining order with the class as a whole. My daughter said she loves when you help her figure out the moves.
Most importantly I loved seeing the true beauty you nurture in the class. I was on the verge of crying as I watched the beauty in my young daughters. I sensed that perhaps the idea of ballet is worthwhile for deeper reasons than just a means of exercising and fun. Perhaps ballet is worth sharing with young girls because it brings out the true beauty of womanhood, in a modest and elegant way. They will not find it everywhere, but they can find it in ballet.”
-Mom of two young dancers
“There were several moms, the other day, talking about what you’re doing. You received very high praise in that circle. Just thought I’d pass it along! Yes, my daughter did tell me about the dance and she is so excited!”
-Mom of a beginning ballet student
Mom’s comments after her daughter’s ballet class this summer. “Thank you so much she had a great time last week and I am very impressed. I can’t wait for her session to start.”
